While Naia wasn't materialistic in nature, it was without a shadow of a doubt that she still came from a rather wealthy family. It was child's play for Naia to easily get herself a luxury speedboat without any questions asked, and at a moment's notice, can easily disappear if needed be. But even so, Naia just preferred to travel this way, less eyes on her meant she could just focus her nervous energy on important things...like..[break][break]

..checking her gun for the 15th time this ride.[break][break]

Okay, maybe she was still super anxious, but for Naia a lot was at stake. Not only did Jayden go out of his way to recommend Beast neon to assess her training, but the last time Naia went on a mission with a beast.. it didn't go as well as she would have liked it. Even worse, that very beast had since been promoted to God General, so she didn't want that list of people disappointed in her to grow any larger than it already is.[break][break]

This time she'd be far more prepared, already suited up underneath her black autumn poncho, she made sure to pull her long hair up into a ponytail underneath her cap, and this time wear a simple black face mask. While typically the people she came with on missions made sure there were no witnesses, sometimes it just feels comforting to have some extra precaution.[break][break]

Still nothing prepared Naia for the shock when she eventually strolled up to their meeting location and her eyes locked onto Beast Neon. She did her best to not show her shock on whatever part of her face that was visible, however she wouldn't be able to hide the split second of her pausing mid stride or her eyes jumping from their attire, to their mask and then most notably their.. wings?[break][break]

At first she thought they were fake, however uncannily they did move a bit too.. realistic for comfort; in fact the longer she stared at them the more uneasy she felt. The same sort of eerie she felt off from Jayden, the realization that perhaps this was something bigger, and way out of her league of understanding right now.[break][break]

In preparation of speaking up, Naia would try to covertly swing her hand back to grasp onto her sleeve, but having to settle with a part of her poncho since her gloves nearly reached her elbows. "It's a pleasure to meet you." Naia's voice started off soft before leveling out as if she herself was finding her own voice, her hand tightening its grip on her coat. Should she treat this like a business meeting? Should she introduce herself? [break][break]

Rather than over thinking it should she stick with what she's used to. At that thought did she finally relax, a practiced smile on her face if one could even see it underneath her face mask as she'd reach up a hand to offer a handshake, slightly exposing her gun strapped to her thigh. "Naia Kayode, How would you like to be called?" Even with a smile, her tone was much more formal than before.

Sootopolis was fine with having their plates harvested but things got more difficult the farther out he spread from the island. Other places like Lilycove and Mossdeep that had been affected by the flood but weren't' exactly friendly to Rockets. And he didn't want to have to go out there on his days off as himself. Coming out under the cover of night with an assistant if far easier, especially when the bounty is plentiful. They just needed to extract it.

His suit and his helmet are on low light more, the expression on the LED panel of his helmet off until the other rocket got closer. He's relaxed on the shore, squatting and he messed around with a little palm sized tablet in his hands. He stands quickly though, turning to the long haired grunt to greet her. "Ah, yeah, jayden cross mentioned you'd be free to tag along tonight." he said, posture relaxed as he got up to give the grunt a once over. "Neon." he replied easily, the face plate lighting up faintly to reflect a strange grin. "You don't got an alias?" he asked. "Then again, I guess it's just the two of us out here, not exactly radio priority." he added with a shrug, his tiny wings fluttering up and moving with him.

He nodded over deeper inland. "Our work today's easy. The little boat is gonna transport as much cargo as it can carry back to base. I'll move the leftover." he said. There's a pause before he looked back at Naia. "You ever done field work? Or...he didn't say what exactly your specialty was."

An eyebrow would slightly furrow when his mask suddenly lit up, it wasn't out of annoyance by any means, but Naia was a bit taken a back. She'd expect to see something like this in a video game, but to see it in real life felt very surreal, and even more so she wasn't expecting to see a smile like this. The only people who showed enthusiasm like him were.. insane. Dorian and Hitoshi did leave quite an impression on her.[break][break]

"You don't got an alias?"[break][break]

Naia would shake her head, waiting for him to finish talking before she'd add, "No.. I thought those were given.." she was unsure of herself when she said that, almost embarrassed that she didn't even think of using an alias up till this point. Then again, it wasn't like the people who would hear her name should live long enough to really do anything with it.[break][break]

Naia couldn't help but fidget in place, the same anxiety from before seemed to be swirling with a sense of shame from the earlier fretting she was doing just mere minutes ago. Even more so this mission sounded a lot easier than others she participated in, then again she did partake in a Pokémon smuggle operation that resulted in a bloodbath so anything could actually happen. Then the most important question came in.[break][break]

At first Naia opened her mouth but cut herself off as she realized she was going to use a filler word anyways to gather her thoughts before eventually continuing, "I've done a smuggle mission.. but if I had to pick a specialization.." She paused, was she even good enough to consider her purges? "I have a medical background and.. I've taken on a few assassination missions." Naia bit her bottom lip underneath her face mask as she'd avoid eye contact with his mask.[break][break]

"My father runs a back-alley clinic which I help him in. So I have hands-on experiences with both. But, I--" Naia's face would tense up as she'd anxiously pull at her cloak for support. How did I give birth to such a failure? Remembering her mother's words, Naia would almost re-posture herself before taking in a deeper inhale to calm herself back down to a neutral. However as she spoke up, Naia would make a point to give the beast "eye-contact" out of respect, "I prepared thinking it was simply another purge. I apologize."

"I mean...kinda...?" he said with a shrug. "I can give you one or you can just pick one and we can run it and see if it's taken but..." he trials off with a shrug. "It's good for comms. One more layer of security. And good for if you want to keep your civilian life set." he said.

He listened as he worked, pulling some things out of a backpack stashed on the boat before handing it over to Naia. He's managed to retrieve a small pick and a brush, which he held in one hand. "Good, good, I like that,." he said. "My specialty is espionage. So I try to pull in talent for that area when I can. Science is also pretty good." He needed to keep the affection of the science department. After all, they made all his expensive toys for him.

"Mmm, well I don't think we'll need any back alley services tonight. We're just going to do some digging." he yanks the boat firmly onto the sand with a sudden pulse of psychic power. Once sure the tug boat was secure, he headed more inland. "It'll be easy to see where the flood waters were. The sediment the flood water left behind will be fairly obvious to see." As would the chunks of coast line yanked out by the ocean itself as well.
